Morpheus London have recently completed a show apartment at ‘Nova SW1’ by Land Securities. Situated on the 11th floor of the modernist building in the heart of Victoria, central London, the four bedroom penthouse offers uncompromised views of Buckingham Palace, the West End and the busy streets of Belgravia below.
‘Nova SW1’ is an innovative mixed use scheme that has revitalised Victoria and created a hub for dining and fashion. Land Securities has elevated the lifestyle in Victoria attracting the new generation desiring luxury living while embracing the metropolitan atmosphere of the area.
Guided by The Nova Building’s principle, “Created for Individuals”, Morpheus took design inspiration from the unique location combined with the target individual who could reside in this property. The building’s modernist façade and geometric vernacular has informed much of the interior detailing, seen most evidently in the master bedroom where the headboard features a geometric pattern designed to mirror the shapes found on the development. The same influence can be found in the entrance hall where a mirrored wall features strong geometric lines which are subtly carried throughout the property on decorative accessories and joinery.
Resonating with the bold architectural profile of the development, Morpheus have strategically designed the interior with strong and interesting silhouettes that complement the existing base finishes of the apartment. The scheme chosen features a masculine colour palette, with dark blue hues refined with brass detailing. The design of the apartment with full height windows allows the continuous flow of natural light around the space, while innovative design solutions elevate the existing long corridor. By introducing a multifaceted mirror to the central wall, adjacent to an opulent rock crystal chandelier with a polished central plate, a feel of a larger and lighter hall with double heights is created.
To further elevate the distinctiveness of the property, almost all of the furniture in the apartment has been designed bespoke and the walls are adorned by commissioned artworks, offering the potential resident an aesthetic that is standalone whilst in complete synergy with the architecture of the scheme in this royal neighbourhood.
