Morpheus Design Studio, Belgravia
Welcome to the new home of Morpheus. The completion of our new London design studio and offices – located at 20-22 Grosvenor Garden Mews North in Belgravia – heralds a new era for the company following a number of successful years in Chelsea.
The brief was to create a multi-functional space that could be used for a variety of purposes ranging from private meetings and presentations to formal dinners and events for up to 100 guests. In addition, this new space will become the flagship home for our growing design team in London.
The mews house is split into four floors with the entrance level encompassing entrance hallway, reception and feature meeting rooms on the ground floor with a large studio, design library and offices on the first, second and basement levels. Upon entering, visitors are drawn into a reception space featuring an informal guest seating area and a floor-to-ceiling art-wall honed from a blend of metals and resin in the signature brand colours of Morpheus blue and gold.
Beyond bi-folding panelled doors lies the largest meeting room which doubles as a formal dining room for up to 10 guests. This room is a calming monochromatic blend of French grey tones complimented by bespoke nickel ironmongery, lacquered joinery pieces and a shimmering cylindrical chandelier constructed from brass and bevelled glass.
The second feature meeting room has been designed with an atmospheric gentleman’s games room or study in mind with dark walls painted in Hix blue. The centrepiece is a circular table with a contemporary charcoal finish which sits beneath a bespoke, smoked glass chandelier. An eclectic montage of mixed style gold frames showcasing a selection of Morpheus Design Studio projects completes the room. Both meeting rooms can be serviced seamlessly by an adjoining chef’s kitchen and have state-of-the-art provisions for audio-visual technology.
